For over 500 years, humans have been taking carbon out of the ground. At Carbon GeoCapture, we sequester Co2 back in the ground--in coal beds, where it belongs. Coal beds and shale underlie most of the world’s land and can store more Co2 than necessary to meet the world’s climate goals. We capture carbon dioxide in water and drop it into coal beds! Coal acts like a sponge and soaks up CO2. Fields initially developed to extract fossil fuels will now safely store carbon!
